Team KaLiBeR, commonly referred to as just tK, is a Call of Duty-based Major League Gaming team. Team KaLiBeR was founded in 2013 by several normal members of the Call of Duty community, but has since become one of the largest teams competing in Major League Gaming. The current manager of Team KaLiBeR is Justin "KOSDFF" Chandler. The four players currently playing for Team KaLiBeR are Sharp, Goonjar, Apathy, and Neslo. The team currently sits eighth in the 2014 S2 Pro Circuit.
The team has been fairly successful in its history, including an X Games Silver Medal at the first ever X Games at Austin in June 2014. They also finished second at the 2013 UMG Atlanta. The team has surprisingly never won a Major League Gaming tournament, however has finished second an incredible number of times.
History[]
Foundation[]
Team KaLiBeR was created in 2013 for the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 season backed by several YouTubers with the leader being Jimmy "chaosxsilencer" M. The team was looking to build on the aspects of loyalty, teamwork, and dedication. Instead of attempting to take the roster of a huge team, tK simply built their own bringing together players they felt would be dedicated to the values the team believed in. With that in mind, the first roster was announced as being Sharp, Goonjar, Neslo, and Theory. The team made their debut at UMG Atlanta in which they showed just the kind of talent they possessed finishing an impressive 2nd behind only compLexity. Impressed with the placing, the team kept the roster and continued practicing. Unfortunately for them a performance like that wouldn't be replicated for the remainder of the game. At the MLG PAX Prime Invitational the team took a 3rd place finishing and then matched that performance when they traveled to London for Gfinity 2. The drop in placings continued at the final event of the season at UMG Dallas where the team got 4th even with 4 of the top teams missing the event because they were playing at the MLG Fall Invitational. Despite this, the team decided to stick together going into the new game.
